I know that lice can be very difficult to get rid of. My wife and I had to try to get rid of it from or two daughters at one point in time and we spent hundreds of dollars and many hours at the laundromat and we still had issues. The cure ended up being mayonnaise. We cover the girls’ hair with it and then put a plastic bag on their hair and let them sleep overnight that way. In the morning we had them wash their hair three times and then we were rid of the lice. Horrible experience.

Yes, you are right the pediculosis usually enters the homes through the children, although not exclusively, and then it is transmitted to the whole family and is generally persistent. It is becoming more frequent to do what you did. The best option seems to be using home remedies and avoiding the commercial ones.

You are right that Mexico is not an exception for lice.  I have had to deal with it with both of my daughters growing up.  It is very difficult to deal with especially when your child does not want to sit through the ordeal of dealing with the lice, and it is so time consuming.  Is there any products that help to prevent lice?I would much rather spend money on preventing the lice rather then spend time and money getting rid of it.
